When installing sound-absorbing panels in elevator shafts, the prepared mortar should be evenly applied to the required base surface. When waterproofing the water-facing side, since potential leakage points cannot be predicted, the amount of material should be slightly increased to maximize the water resistance of the coating, and attention should be paid to treating honeycomb-structured base surfaces.
When waterproofing the non-water-facing side, even minor leaks are easily detected, so leak repair should be performed before waterproofing.
Standard dosage: 1.2–1.5 kg per square meter.
Coating thickness: 1.0–1.2 mm.
Construction requirements: Complete application in one go.
Pay attention to cleaning and moistening the base surface before application (sufficiently moist, but without standing water). The waterproof coating must be maintained before initial setting by brushing back and forth with a paint brush dipped in water or by spraying a fine mist. This maintenance should be done continuously during application, which is crucial. Coatings exposed to direct sunlight should be sprayed with clean water for 1–2 days for curing.
