Splicing method
SPC boards (flooring/wall panels) adopt two main splicing methods, which are stable, easy to install and aesthetically pleasing, suitable for both residential and commercial use.
1. Tongue and Groove Lock Splicing
【Core Structure】The edge of the board is precision processed into a male groove (tongue) and female groove (groove) structure, which is fixed by mechanical interlocking without glue.
【Installation Steps】Align the male groove with the female groove, insert it at a 45° angle, press down and push tightly, then tap the lock position with a rubber hammer to ensure full engagement; lay in a staggered joint, and leave an 8–10mm expansion gap at the wall.
【Advantages】Glue-free, dust-free and quick installation; tight joints, not easy to arch, detachable and reusable; suitable for large-area flooring/wall panel laying.
2. Metal Strip Connection
Use I-shaped/flat/outside corner/inside corner metal strips, embedded in the board gap for fixation and decoration.
【Installation Steps】Reserve a gap of the width of the metal strip on the board, apply structural glue/nail-free glue on the back of the metal strip, embed it into the gap, and fix it temporarily until the glue dries; it can also be reinforced with buckles/screws.
【Advantages】Beautify the joint, used for edge at doorways, corners and partition areas; enhance edge strength, prevent collision and chipping; suitable for commercial decoration, minimalist and light luxury styles.
